Positive Reaffirming

"Now let’s talk about “Positive Reaffirming,” that is,
reinforcing your subconscious with positive thoughts.
Remember: the subconscious mind cannot distinguish
the truth from a falsehood.
If you tell yourself constantly that you get uncontrollably
tired at 9:00 P.M. every night, soon enough you will always
become exhausted each night at 9:00 P.M.
To maintain a positive mental attitude, you must
continually, consciously, reaffirm that you are a capable,
good, valuable, warm, and caring individual who is
productive and able to accomplish everything you want to.
The starting point to greatness is in loving yourself. You are
worthy of greatness. You love yourself. Your subconscious
mind must be reminded repeatedly, much as a child is,
of how good of a person you are, how you love yourself,
and that now is the time to get on with your success.
Your subconscious will accept all repetitive signals and
messages.
There is a story about an experiment where, under
medical supervision, a group of orphan babies were divided
into two groups. One group of babies was given plenty of
attention and love. They were hugged often. These babies
were talked to and the nurses were told to give them all the
special attention they could. The second group of babies was
fed properly. Their diapers were changed regularly, and all
proper medical attention given, but there was no holding, no
loving, no talking to, no cuddling, and no special attention.
The experiment was done to find out if, by some chance,
giving love and attention made any difference in how a baby
was to grow and respond. The group of babies that had the
special attention grew normally, had excellent health, smiled
more, and showed that everything was going fine.
The second group of babies who were given no special
love or attention did not do well at all. They did not grow
properly and were below average weight. They became
sicker, so much so that the experiment was ordered to be
stopped for fear of death to the infants.
The experiment shows how, even at the youngest age,
love and positive affirmation are needed for survival. A
healthy mind means having a healthy, loving acceptance
from others and from yourself.
The more you receive constant, positive, and loving
thoughts the more you are willing to succeed."
